Basketball Game Preview: Danbury Lakers vs. St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks

The Danbury Lakers will challenge the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Danbury and eight for St. Joseph Central Catholic.

Danbury is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Old Fort on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Danbury was dealt a 72-26 loss at the hands of Old Fort. While losing is never fun, the Lakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 801st, while the Stockaders are ranked 158th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 82-35, which was the final score in St. Joseph Central Catholic's tilt against Elmwood on Saturday.

Danbury's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Danbury couldn't quite finish off St. Joseph Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in January and fell 73-71. Can Danbury avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
