Basketball Recap: Covington Comes Up Short

Covington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mandeville Skippers. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Skippers earlier this season, when they won 63-59.

Covington's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Mandeville, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 17-14.

Covington will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Hammond at 6:30 p.m. As for Mandeville, they are taking a road trip to square off against St. Paul's at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
