Soccer Game Preview: Cane Bay vs. Porter-Gaud

The Cane Bay Cobras will square off against the Porter-Gaud Cyclones at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cane Bay's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against James Island by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cobras.

Eiliyah Tomes and Claire Orth scored both of Cane Bay's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Meanwhile, Porter-Gaud gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on Wade Hampton with a sharp 4-0 win.

Cane Bay might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Porter-Gaud when the teams last played back in February of 2020. Can Cane Bay avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
