After having lost a blowout in their previous game against DeQuincy, Rosepine was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hicks Pirates 5-3. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Rosepine's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Hicks, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Rosepine didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Pitkin on the 17th. As for Hicks, they will take on Lake Charles College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hicks' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Lake Charles College Prep's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
