Volleyball Recap: Santa Rosa Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Temecula Prep last Wednesday, Santa Rosa Academy came back down to earth. The Rangers fell just short of the San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Rangers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Santa Rosa Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (103-92), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-22, 12-25, 15-25, 25-23, 15-8.

Santa Rosa Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Santa Rosa Academy will take on Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Hamilton on the 14th.
