Basketball Recap: Parowan Comes Up Short

Parowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the South Sevier Rams, falling 70-19. Parowan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-8.

Bailee Buchmiller had an outrageously good game for South Sevier as she went 5 for 8 en route to 16 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Those six steals gave Buchmiller a new career-high. Sydnee Patterson was another key player, going 6 of 10 to rack up 13 points and eight rebounds.

Parowan's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for South Sevier, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Looking ahead, Parowan will head out on the road to take on American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Sevier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
