After losing to Leavenworth the last time they met, Ottawa decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cyclones walked away with a 2-0 win over the PIONEERS on Saturday.

Ottawa easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21.

Becca Meyer paced Ottawa's offense, picking up 12 kills. Meyer got some help from Leah Askins-Dieterich and her 15 assists.

Ottawa has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Leavenworth, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Ottawa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against De Soto on the 27th. As for Leavenworth, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Tonganoxie on the 27th.
