Soccer Recap: LEE Takes a Loss

LEE fell victim to Madison and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison Mavericks. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Volunteers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Mavericks are ranked 136th).

LEE's loss dropped their record down to 13-3-4. As for Madison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6-2.

Looking ahead, LEE will square off against Churchill at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LEE's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Madison, they will welcome SA Roosevelt at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison will be up against SA Roosevelt's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
