Basketball Recap: Genoa Area Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Genoa Area and Liberty-Benton squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Genoa Area had to settle for second. They were dealt a 59-30 loss at the hands of the Liberty-Benton Eagles. The match marked the Comets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Genoa Area's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Liberty-Benton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.
