Softball Recap: Waterloo East Takes a Loss

Waterloo East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mason City Riverhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2025.

Waterloo East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Mason City, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Riverhawks beat Waterloo East by a score of 21-3 later that day.
