Basketball Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Coronado Islanders came up short against the Valley Christian Defenders and fell 56-49. The Islanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Valley Christian, they moved to 11-15 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coronado will square off against Clairemont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clairemont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Coronado likes a good challenge. As for Valley Christian, they will be playing at home against Village Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
