After having lost a blowout in their previous game against River Falls, Menomonie was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Chippewa Falls Cardinals 2-1. Menomonie have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Chippewa Falls, too.

Menomonie's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3-1 and their overall record up to 4-4-1. As for Chippewa Falls, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-1 record this season.

Menomonie will venture away from home to challenge Sparta at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Menomonie are facing Sparta at the right time seeing as Sparta are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Chippewa Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Amery at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
