Baseball Recap: Beulah Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Beulah Bobcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors and fell 2-1.

Wes Grant was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in February.

Beulah's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lee-Scott Academy beat Beulah by a score of 2-1 later that day.
