GRIFFITH, Ind. - After six lead changes,
Hobart (Ind.) took the lead for good when
Drey Devereaux ran for a touchdown with 6:00 remaining in the third quarter and held on to defeat
Griffith (Ind.) 56-38 on Saturday.
The Brickies led 21-18 at halftime, but the Panthers regained the lead on an
Antonio Suarez touchdown run with 8:00 to go in the third.
Hobart grew its lead to 10 points entering the fourth quarter. HHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Zach Satterfield.
The Brickies avenged last year's 21-13 loss to Griffith with the victory.
The loss comes after Griffith defeated Wheeler 43-6 last week. With the win Hobart extended its winning streak to three games.
In a Northwest Crossroads game next week Griffith (1-2) takes on Lowell, and Hobart (3-0) will go up against Kankakee Valley also in a Northwest Crossroads game.
