Recap: Hancock Central Bulldogs vs. Warren County Screaming Devils
The Hancock Central Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Warren County. While losing is never fun, Hancock Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 407th, while Warren County is ranked 123rd).
Despite the defeat, Hancock Central saw an underclassman step up: Josiah Ingram scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Ingram scored a full 33.3% of Hancock Central's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jace Glover, who scored seven points.
Hancock Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Warren County, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Hancock Central will be home for the holidays to greet Washington County at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Warren County and Jasper County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Jasper County is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
