Basketball Game Preview: Champlin Park Rebels vs. Maple Grove Crimson

Champlin Park hasn't had much luck against Maple Grove recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Champlin Park Rebels will host the Maple Grove Crimson at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Champlin Park came up short against Elk River and fell 66-55.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maple Grove). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Centennial 86-40. The Crimson have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Maple Grove pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.2 points. As for Champlin Park, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
