Volleyball Recap: Ninilchik Find Success

After losing to Cook Inlet Academy the last time they met, Ninilchik decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wolverines sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Eagles on Saturday.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Ninilchik who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 17-25, 15-9.

Ninilchik's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Cook Inlet Academy, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

Cook Inlet Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Redington on the 27th. Hopefully Ninilchik paid attention to the Eagles' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on October 7.
