Football Recap: Grace Christian Academy's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Grace Christian Academy took on Goodpasture Christian on Friday. The game between the Lions and the Cougars didn't end well, with the Lions falling 24-7. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Knox Lambert threw for 102 yards and one TD. Gabe Shepler was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards and one touchdown.

It was another big night for Caden Stroud, who rushed for 155 yards and a pair of scores for Goodpasture Christian.

Having lost for the first time this season, Grace Christian Academy fell to 7-1. As for Goodpasture Christian, their record now sits at 6-2.

Meanwhile, Goodpasture Christian will challenge rival Battle Ground Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cougars 15, the Wildcats 12.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
