Basketball Game Preview: Miller Buccaneers vs. Ray Texans

The Miller Buccaneers are taking a road trip to challenge the Ray Texans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller has given up an average of 55.7 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Miller is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 81-46. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while the Eagles are ranked 203rd).

Meanwhile, Ray didn't have quite enough to beat Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial on Friday and fell 68-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (61), the Texans still had to take the loss.

Miller's defeat dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Ray, their loss dropped their record down to 25-9.

Miller came up short against Ray in their previous matchup back in January, falling 59-55. Can the Buccaneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
