Basketball Recap: Whiting Comes Up Short

Whiting was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were dealt a 65-22 loss at the hands of the Siouxland Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-25 last Tuesday.

Whiting's defeat dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Siouxland Christian, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-14.

Whiting does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Siouxland Christian, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles challenge the Hawks on Monday. St. Mary's has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
