Baseball Recap: Monday's Win Is Kenowa Hills' Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Kenowa Hills was forced to take a big defeat against they on Monday, they got the better of them on Monday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Sparta Spartans. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Spartans on Monday, they had to take a 6-0 loss.

Chastyn Cole made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Andrew Lake was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Brennan Gustinis was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Kenowa Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Sparta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-10 record this season.

Kenowa Hills will have a chance to go back-to-back against Sparta: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
