 Amery couldn't quite beat Osceola on Thursday but the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 11-point  defeat they were dealt  last Tuesday. The Amery Warriors fell just short of the Osceola Chieftains by a score of  9-7. Amery has struggled against Osceola recently, as their  matchup on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
  William Jensen was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with two  runs and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Michael Morrissey, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Amery's loss  ended  a  five-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 6-5. As for Osceola, their victory  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 2-9.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amery will take on Bruce at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Bruce is coming into the  contest with three straight  wins on the road,  so Amery will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum. As for Osceola, they will be playing at home against Chisago Lakes Area at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
