Tyler is a perfect 10-0 against Marshall since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tyler is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Mt. Pleasant just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Tigers. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Tyler it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, Marshall fell victim to Nacogdoches and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. The defeat continues a trend for Marshall in their meetings with Nacogdoches: they've now lost eight in a row.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-2. As for Tyler, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Everything went Tyler's way against Marshall when the teams last played back in February of 2025, as Tyler made off with an 8-0 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mavericks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
