Esko dropped down to 12-2 on Saturday, ending the team's 11-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Duluth East Greyhounds by a score of 2-1. The Eskomos were not able to make up for their loss to the Greyhounds from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Duluth East, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 20th.

Leading Duluth East to victory were Evelyn Viney and Bella Peterson. Viney had 11 digs and one block, while Peterson had five digs. That's the most digs Peterson has posted over her last 12 matchups.

While Esko had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
