Baseball Recap: Piner Falls Short of St. Bernard's in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Piner can now relate to. They fell just short of the St. Bernard's Crusaders by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Prospectors just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Piner saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Cordoza, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.

Piner's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for St. Bernard's, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 18-8.

Piner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Bernard's, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Miramonte on the 23rd.
