The Woodlands had won two straight games and Ava Gibbs did her part to make it three on Friday. The Highlanders blew past the Cleveland Indians 3-0 thanks in part to Gibbs, who had 17 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 33 games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant The Woodlands was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-2, 25-8.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Woodlands to victory, but perhaps none more so than Katelyn Cavasos, who had nine assists and three aces. Those nine assists gave Cavasos a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexandra ?Sasha? Bespaly, who hit 81.8% for nine kills and ten aces and nine digs.

They weren't the only good servers: The Woodlands was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

The Woodlands' victory bumped their record up to 19-17. As for Cleveland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-33 record this season.

Coincidentally, The Woodlands and Cleveland will both be playing College Park the next time they take the court. The Highlanders will head out to face the Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Indians will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
