Ballard has gone 8-2 against Assumption recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bruins will host the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ballard barely beat Male the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bruins blew past the Bulldogs 17-7 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Ballard let Payton Downey and Aubrie Newton run wild. Downey scored three runs while going 3-for-5, while Newton scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was Ryleah Lawrence, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Ballard always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Male only posted an OBP of .417.

Meanwhile, Assumption entered their tilt with Corbin on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 14-7 margin over the Redhounds.

Paige Crain was a standout: she fired off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelynn Oaks, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Assumption's win bumped their record up to 14-4-1. As for Ballard, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8-1.

Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ballard hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .383. However, it's not like Assumption struggles in that department as they've averaged .344. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
