For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lexington and Wilson meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Lexington Golden Bears took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilson Warriors. The Golden Bears have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Jacob Nava was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Lexington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Carlock, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another was Tate Gamble, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Wilson, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.

Coming up, Lexington will face off against Hatton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hatton will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lexington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wilson, they will be playing at home against Brooks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
