Softball Recap: Arvada West Wildcats vs. Valor Christian Eagles
On Friday, Arvada West faced Valor Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Arvada West Wildcats fell 15-12 to the Valor Christian Eagles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (11), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.
Hallie Thomas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, a triple, and an RBI. Jailynn Ausman was another key player, going 1-for-4 with four RBI and a double.
Arvada West's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9. As for Valor Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-4.
