Softball Recap: Waldport Sets Scoring Season-High Against Eddyville

Waldport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 27-24 to the Eddyville Eagles. On the bright side, the 24- run effort marked the Irish's highest-scoring match to date.

Waldport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Eddyville, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Waldport wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-11 loss against Toledo on the 12th. As for Eddyville, they will head out to face off against East Linn Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Eddyville is facing East Linn Christian Academy at the right time seeing as East Linn Christian Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
