Preview: Londonderry Lancers vs. Windham Jaguars
Londonderry is 7-0 against Windham since September of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Londonderry Lancers will be playing at home against the Windham Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. Londonderry will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Londonderry faced Salem in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Londonderry enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over Salem.
Meanwhile, Windham put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They blew past Concord 27-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Windham.
Windham's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Billy Depietro led the charge by rushing for 92 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, while also throwing for 59 yards and a touchdown. Tiger An was another key contributor, gaining 92 total yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Londonderry to 8-1 and Windham to 4-5.
Londonderry was able to grind out a solid victory over Windham in their previous meeting back in September, winning 21-14. Will Londonderry repeat their success, or does Windham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
