Baseball Recap: Masuk Finds Home Field Redemption Against Kaynor Tech

Masuk's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to New Canaan on Wednesday. Masuk blew past Kaynor Tech 15-5. Masuk's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Chris Welch was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jackson Zylick, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Masuk always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Masuk's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Kaynor Tech, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

When Masuk and Kaynor Tech next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Panthers will try to stop Southington's four-game winning streak when they meet at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Kaynor Tech will take on Wolcott RVT and their three-game winning streak at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
