Basketball Recap: Neptune Takes a Loss

Neptune has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brick Memorial Mustangs on Thursday. The Scarlet Fliers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 58-40.

Neptune's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Brick Memorial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Neptune will square off against Hopewell Valley Central on Wednesday. Hopewell Valley Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Neptune surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brick Memorial, they will challenge Ewing on Wednesday. Ewing has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three contests.
