Football Recap: Wolsey-Wessington Comes Up Short

Wolsey-Wessington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Parkston Trojans and fell 66-16. While losing is never fun, the Warbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota football rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Trojans are ranked third).

Wolsey-Wessington's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Parkston, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wolsey-Wessington is set to take on their familiar foe Kimball/White Lake at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Parkston will challenge rival Gregory at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
