Baseball Game Preview: Bloomingdale Bulls vs. Sickles Gryphons

The Bloomingdale Bulls will face off against the Sickles Gryphons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bloomingdale will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Bloomingdale proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Newsome 2-1.

Bloomingdale got a great performance from Hayden Porter as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Porter has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Sickles suffered their closest defeat since March 18th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Gaither by a score of 5-3.

Bloomingdale's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Sickles, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7.

Bloomingdale skirted past Sickles 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Bulls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gryphons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
