Warrior Run hasn't had much luck against Loyalsock Township recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Defenders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Warrior Run comes in on six and Loyalsock Township on three.
Warrior Run's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They skirted past Jersey Shore 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Defenders' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Griffen Harrington made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Loyalsock Township ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Southern Columbia Area 6-5.
Nolan Rall looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kayden Keefer, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Loyalsock Township is 2-1 when Keefer posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise.
Warrior Run pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average this season. As for Loyalsock Township, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Warrior Run has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .488. However, it's not like Loyalsock Township struggles in that department as they've averaged .432. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
