Baseball Game Preview: Mildred Eagles vs. Kerens Bobcats

For the second straight game, Mildred will face off against Kerens. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Mildred 3.1, Kerens 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Mildred is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kerens. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Kerens' part, Krayton Ritchie was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Ritchie has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
