It was a good run, but Mount Desert Island unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. 2025 welcomed they with a 46-24 loss courtesy of the Old Town Coyotes. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mount Desert Island's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2. As for Old Town, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Mount Desert Island (ranked seventh) will meet Foxcroft Academy (ranked 50th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Old Town will face off against Houlton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 66 places (32 vs. 98).
