IC Catholic Prep is a perfect 5-0 against Chicago University since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Maroons at 6:00 p.m.

On Thursday, IC Catholic Prep came up short against Montini Catholic and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Chicago University was able to grind out a solid win over Cristo Rey Jesuit on Wednesday, taking the game 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Maroons in their matchups with the Cristeros: they've now won seven in a row.

Chicago University easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18.

Chicago University's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for IC Catholic Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.

IC Catholic Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Chicago University in their previous matchup back in September of 2021, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
