Basketball Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss

Foothill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-62 heartbreaker at the hands of the Los Alamitos Griffins. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Griffins are ranked 39th).

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Los Alamitos, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foothill will venture away from home to square off against Crean Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Los Alamitos, they will head out on the road to face off against Newport Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
