Football Recap: Groves Takes a Loss

Groves was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 55-16 defeat at the hands of the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 50-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Groves' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Southeast Bulloch, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Groves will square off against rival Liberty County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Southeast Bulloch is set to face off against their familiar foe Jenkins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
