Basketball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss

If Chaparral was feeling good fresh off their 79-53 takedown of Riverside Prep last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pumas fell 58-51 to the Colony Titans on Monday.

Deshawn Deloach had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds for Colony. Those 17 points gave Deloach a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dayvon Lewis, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 boards.

Chaparral now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Colony, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Chaparral didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-51 win against Perris on the 4th. As for Colony, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 76-42 victory against Grand Terrace on the 2nd.
