Basketball Recap: Hershey Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Aubry Hall and Kamryn Butterfield

Hershey was the 42-32 winner over Kearney Catholic when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hershey Panthers lost 62-39 to the Kearney Catholic Stars on Tuesday. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-5.

Despite the loss, Hershey had strong showings from Kamryn Butterfield, who posted seven points and three blocks, and Aubry Hall, who put up eight points.

Danielle Seim was nothing short of spectacular for Kearney Catholic: she went 8 of 15 on her way to 25 points and five rebounds. Those 25 points gave Seim a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie O'Hare, who earned nine points and four steals.

Hershey has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Kearney Catholic, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9.

Hershey wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 73-50 defeat against Maywood/Hayes Center on the 6th. As for Kearney Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 53-45 victory against Adams Central on the 6th.
