Baseball Game Preview: Grant Tigers vs. Chippewa Hills Warriors

The Grant Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Chippewa Hills Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Grant's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Chippewa Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

It was a proper cat-fight when Grant took on Montague on Thursday. The Tigers fell 5-2 to the Wildcats. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Grant saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marshal Jones, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Chippewa Hills sidestepped Lakeview for an 8-6 victory.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Chippewa Hills, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Grant skirted past Chippewa Hills 2-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
