Volleyball Recap: Mckinney Extends Winning Streak to Three

While McKinney didn't have the best season last year (they finished 19-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Walnut Grove Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won three contests in a row.

Emerie McDonald paced McKinney's offense, picking up ten kills. McDonald got some help from Keira Gallegos and her 23 assists. Gallegos was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

McKinney's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Walnut Grove, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

McKinney has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Plano West on the 22nd. As for Walnut Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Amarillo on the 22nd.
