Basketball Recap: Springlake-Earth Comes Up Short

Springlake-Earth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 103-23 loss at the hands of the Nazareth Swifts. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1225th, while the Swifts are ranked 170th).

Springlake-Earth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Nazareth, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Springlake-Earth will venture away from home to square off against Happy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Happy's defense has only allowed 26.7 points per game this season, so Springlake-Earth's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Nazareth, they will host Lazbuddie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lazbuddie will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Nazareth surely won't give up without a fight.
