Basketball Game Preview: Leland & Gray Rebels vs. Poultney Blue Devils

The Leland & Gray Rebels will face off against the Poultney Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leland & Gray will be strutting in after a win while Poultney will be coming in after a defeat.

Leland & Gray took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Long Trail 48-21.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 85-32, which was the final score in Poultney's tilt against West Rutland on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Golden Horde are ranked seventh).

Leland & Gray will have to contain Eric Kendall as he made an impact in Poultney's last game. He posted 21 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Poultney and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Leland & Gray, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
