Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Liberty

Liberty won the last time they faced Perris and things went their way on Tuesday too. Liberty walked away with a 3-1 victory over Perris. The win was familiar territory for the Bison, who have now won four contests in a row.

Liberty had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.

Leading Liberty to victory were Ashtyn Collier and Jeremy Mallabo. Collier had 40 assists and five digs, while Mallabo had 13 digs and two aces. What's more, Mallabo posted four assists, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Guardado, who had 18 assists.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Perris, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-9.

Coming up, Liberty will square off against Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perris, they will challenge Summit at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Summit will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Perris surely won't give up without a fight.
