Volleyball Recap: Irelynn Price and Maddie Fendley Secure Win for East Forsyth + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, East Forsyth rose to the challenge on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Lake Norman Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since September 18th.

East Forsyth wouldn't go down easily and took Lake Norman into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-13, 25-23, 24-26, 15-10.

East Forsyth was led to victory by Maddie Fendley and Irelynn Price. Fendley had ten digs and five aces, while Price had 15 digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Price a new career-high in assists (seven).

They weren't the only good servers: East Forsyth was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are 12-4 when they serve at least ten aces.

East Forsyth is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Lake Norman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 17 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.

East Forsyth will challenge Reagan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Norman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
