Softball Recap: Thrall Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Thrall and Blooming Grove squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Thrall had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-3. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Riley Luton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Velasquez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Thrall's defeat dropped their record down to 19-13. As for Blooming Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Thrall nor Blooming Grove have any future games scheduled.
